In Ontario, Reading Recovery is implemented at the school board level. Each school board is represented by school board trustees, who make financial decisions, including whether or not to implement programs like Reading Recovery. Additionally, education in Ontario is represented and funded by four education systems: English Public Schools, English Catholic Schools, French Public Schools, and French Catholic Schools.

Get in contact with your trustee, your Member of Provincial Parliament ), the Ontario Minister of Education, and tell them how important Reading Recovery is to Ontario’s students.

Ontario has implemented Reading Recovery in four school boards: Hamilton Wentworth Catholic District School Board, Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board, Kawartha-Pine Ridge District School Board and Rainy River District School Board. Ontario has never implemented IPLÉ in any school.
